CEO Message for Investors

Yasuhiko Okamoto, Representative Director, President and Chairman, Group CEO of LIKE, Inc.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support.

On July 13, 2026, we announced our financial results for the 33rd fiscal year (fiscal year ended May 31, 2026), and I would like to report on the overview.

In the fiscal year ended May 31, 2026, the Japanese economy has been recovering moderately due to improving employment and income conditions, and the effects of various policy measures. Meanwhile, it is necessary to pay close attention to the situation in the Middle East and fluctuations in the financial and capital markets.

In the Child-Rearing Support Service business, we operate 415 childcare facilities nationwide with over 12,000 enrolled children, making our services an essential part of daily social infrastructure. To meet the growing demand for childcare, particularly in major metropolitan areas centered on the Tokyo metropolitan area, we have further expanded our business by starting the operation of 16 new facilities.

In the Comprehensive Human Resources Service business, securing human resources is an important management issue in our main business domains, which can be described as social infrastructure, as the working population shrinks in Japan due to declining birthrates and an aging population. Accordingly, we engaged in sales activities to increase working populations in the business domains of mobile phone, logistics and manufacturing, and childcare and nursing care industries. Furthermore, we continued to focus on expanding the employment support services for foreign nationals with the aim of developing them into our next growth driver.

In the Nursing Care-Related Service business, taking advantage of our partnerships with medical institutions, many of our facilities provide end-of-life care with round-the-clock nursing support, providing living quarters where residents with high nursing care needs can live with peace of mind.

As a result of these factors, for the fiscal year ended May 31, 2026, net sales reached ¥67,315 million (+8.0% year-on-year), operating profit was ¥2,981 million (+1.0% year-on-year), ordinary profit amounted to ¥3,668 million (+4.9% year-on-year), and profit attributable to owners of parent was ¥2,328 million (+11.0% year-on-year).

The LIKE Group’s businesses are closely related to social issues such as the diversification of childcare needs, labor shortages, the need for workers to leave their jobs due to elderly care and the elderly caring for the elderly.

Going forward, based on the Group philosophy of "...planning the future: developing people and creating the future," the Group will help create a sustainable society by focusing on expanding the working population in an aging society with a declining birthrate while providing high-quality services in each of businesses. Furthermore, the Group strives to foster a corporate culture where expressions of gratitude come naturally, and people genuinely feel, "I'm glad it was you. Thank you," with the aim of becoming a corporate group that is truly indispensable to the world. As we continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society, we sincerely request your continued support and encouragement.
