Environmental Initiatives

ENVIRONMENT

Our group is committed to reducing environmental impact and promoting environmental education through our business activities. We aim to foster human resources who support a sustainable society and to help realize a circular economy.

Reducing Environmental Impact

We have joined the “RE Action: Declaration for 100% Renewable Energy” initiative, promoting the use of renewable electricity, with a goal to switch 100% of the electricity used in our operations to renewable energy sources by 2050.
Our childcare and nursing care facilities are selected with consideration for climate change, and we use thinned wood for interior finishes to reduce CO₂ emissions.
In addition, we strive to minimize single-use plastic waste at all facilities and offices. We also promote recycling by placing plastic collection boxes in childcare centers.

Environmental Education

Our childcare facilities host events and food education programs with environmental themes. Nursing care facilities also offer recreational activities that engage with nature. We also incorporate environmental issues and nature conservation themes into regular employee and temporary staff training.

Eco-First Program

In recognition of our ongoing environmental efforts, we were certified as an “Eco-First Company” by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment in February 2022 — the first such certification granted to a company in the childcare and nursing care sector.
